A Life More Ordinary

So yes, as you can see, I have been quite out of the loop for about two weeks. I appreciate the messages from y'all asking after me and if I'm okay... basically, aside from not feeling too good about my exam (results come out in January, but I don't hold much hope), I've been fine, just haven't had much drive to get online very much. Couldn't do much at work either, seeing as I've been swamped as of late, getting everything done before I move into my new job.

Yeppers, I'll be leaving my comfy home of Property and Catastrophe Management, and heading into my new rotation, in the area of Excess & Special Risk. So I'll be learning alot of on reinsurance, so that should be very cool. I'm pretty excited.

Anyway, since my last update, I've just been going out, hanging with friends, seeing movies, drinking beer... y'know, normal stuff. A few tidbits before I go to bed, may discuss them more later:

  • Saw The Matrix Revolutions on opening night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone I went with liked it, probably more than me, and I definately recommend it. It may have many faults, but it's still damn fun.

  • Annoyed that Dark Tower V: Wolves of Calla is only out in hardback at the moment, I was hoping a large softback would be available... oh well, I can wait for a few months.

  • My favorite new shows of the season are The O.C. and Joan of Arcadia. One is a great replacement for those in need of a Dawson's Creek fix, and the other is a fun God & Order: Special Virgins Unit type show.

  • On the topic of other new shows, Tru Calling sucks balls. I love Eliza, but this show is utter shit.

  • I went to see the Vikings/Raiders game today, and it was one of the best football games I've ever seen, tons of turnovers and big plays, and seeing it at the 45 yd line 9 rows up kicked ass

  • Alot of my time this week has been spent gettin' back into writing mode again. I'm working on a third installment of my Consequences series (I'd link to the first two, but the BB seems to be down at the moment). Comin' along nicely, hopefully I'll have it finished by tomorrow, as soon as I come up with an ending I like.

Hmph, well, I need to hit the sack, hopefully I'll get a comic book post up tomorrow, the last two weeks have been pretty big, with some good issues (as well as some stinkers)
